The Finlayson area

PART OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF A HISTORIC INDUSTRIAL AREA

In the Finlayson area, in the heart of the industrial history of Tampere, many buildings were modified for new use at the turn of the millennium. The conversion of the TR54 industrial building, designed by Bertel Strömmer and Heikki and Kaija Siren, into the Media 54 business and office building was carried out in 2002. In addition to TR54, we have also carried out modifications to the TR4, TR9, TR31, and TR53 buildings when they have been converted from industrial buildings into office and business buildings. Erik Stenvall acted as the main designer in these projects. The premises have since been modified to meet the needs of new users. The new tenants, which have been provided with new premises, include, e.g., Fonecta, Digia, CrossControl, and Lidl.
