The Kaupinoja surface water treatment and district cooling plant

In 2017, the modernisation of the surface water treatment plant and the pumping plant extension of Tampereen Vesi and Tampereen Sähkölaitos were completed. We participated in the turnkey contract as the principal and architectural designer. The part to be renovated was inventoried, and the entity was designed as an information model. The buildings mainly contain only building service technology. Our BIM coordinator regularly compiled all the documents related to the parts of the building service technology into a combination model. We utilised the Navisworks Simulate program in clash detection throughout the project. Pekka Timola acted as the main designer in the project, and Jussi Nykänen acted as the project architect and Sergej von Bagh as the BIM coordinator.
