When the aim is to create something special and unique, traditional ways of operating should be cast aside and the bar should be raised very high in all respects. You have to look into the future and keep an open mind while bearing in mind the current limitations in order for the plans to be feasible.
When you have the will, criticism will only make you want to prove everybody wrong, which is something that is never achieved by praise. When you are praised, enjoy that good feeling – you have earned it and that, too, is needed. At this point in the process, our teams have received a lot of both negative and positive feedback, but it has been good to realise that BST-Arkkitehdit Oy, as the professionals they are, have maintained their strong attitude and managed to make Luminary into a whole that has rewarded hard work with great success on the challenging housing market!
The process at the Luminary construction site is now in full swing, and our next goal is to meet, or, in fact, according to our objectives, exceed the expectations of the Luminary clients.

The design task for the waterfront site by Lake Näsijärvi must be left in capable hands. I only asked two trusted architectural firms for a design proposal. BST had previously designed a sculptural building for us in Härmälänranta, and Tavilampi had managed to complement our completed concept, with its stringent requirements, in a professional way, making it even more interesting.
Of the two candidates, we decided to choose BST, because I knew that we would get top-rate designs of high technical quality. The positive feedback we received from clients during the pre-marketing of Rimini has reinforced our impression. The result is impressive and of high architectural quality.

The spatial modification project for the new office of Suomen Yliopistokiinteistöt Oy was carried out during the spring and summer of 2017 at the Hervanta campus in Tampere. The modern office environment requirements and the need to make the premises reflect the operational culture of SYK served as the starting points for the design. BST Arkkitehdit Oy was successfully responsible for the project’s principal and architectural design. We also utilised their expertise in other matters, such as the selection of special lights. Understanding the client’s needs, scheduling, and guiding the client in connection with them, as well as presenting the options in an up-to-date manner and providing input in situations which required making choices are also factors for which I particularly wish to thank BST. At the design stage, we, the future users of the premises, had the opportunity to get a virtual tour of our new office environment with the aid of a 3D-modelled spatial presentation even before the actual construction work had started. We are very pleased with the result, and, thanks to BST, we dared to make choices without which our office would lack something.
